Housed in a vintage French Kodak brand photo paper box with most contact sheets in a two-ring binder similar to keybook photos. Also included is a press folder from the Cinedis agency in Paris with star biographies film credits and scenario on Cinedis parchment. <br/><br/>Seen in the images is starring actor and screenwriter Buissieres including a large portrait actress Carrel several seductive in nature with shots of director Faurez and the film crew in action and images of composer Georges Van Parys and singer Colette Renard famous for her "Irma La Douce" musical roles presumably working on the film soundtrack. Several images in the contact sheets show scenes from the film taking place in an automobile repair shop directed scenes from high on a crane and candid photos of the starring performers. From the Tele Cine Documentation archive originally known as the Collection Daniel Bouteiller with their sticker and a Zentropa Productions sticker to the verso. <br/><br/>A film in which the collective of main characters intentionally "spaz out" believing that emulating a person with a developmental disorder will relieve their inhibitions "The Idiots" understandably became the center of great controversy. The second Dogme 95 film a filmmaking philosophy spearheaded by von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg in which the filmmakers strove to shoot only on location using on-site sounds and natural lighting. Von Trier later admitted to breaching a number of these rules while filming "The Idiots" by using a stand-in for a sex scene moving various light sources and using an off-camera harmonica player to introduce music to a scene. The final page of text notes this draft was revised on May 24 1992. <br/><br/>Mamet's play premiered in May 1992 in Cambridge Massachusetts starring William H. Macy and Rebecca Pidgeon. Loosely based on the Thomas-Hill Hearings of 1991 the play starred Macy as a university professor accused of sexual misconduct by one of his female students played by Pidgeon who one critic described as "Mamet's most fully realized female character.a mousy confused cipher." Macy would reprise his role in Mamet's own 1994 film adaptation starring opposite Debra Eisenstadt. The play finally opened on Broadway in 2009 starring Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles. <br/><br/>White wrappers dated 1991 and 1992 with a credit for playwright Mamet. Rereleased in America in 1980 as "Something Waits in the Dark" and again in 1981 as "Screamers" by Roger Corman's New World Pictures and in 2009 under its directly translated title "Island of the Fishmen" by MYA Communication. Brief notation in holograph ink on one page. <br/><br/>Set in the year 1891 where Claude de Ross Claudio Casssinelli has survived two shipwrecks and washed ashore an uncharted Caribbean island along with some convicts. One by one the convicts meet their fate at the fins of mysterious "fishmen" and Claude just may meet his at the hands of a sadistic inhabitant Edmond Richard Johnson and his wife Bach. <br/><br/>Voodoo the lost city of Atlantis and the manuipulation of human genetics all figure in to this exploitation masterpiece. Director Martino would return with a sequel "Queen of the Fishmen" 1995. <br/><br/>Untitled green wrappers. Title page present undated. 161 leaves with last page of text numbered 160.
