The novel then picks up in 1917 in France when Veronique becomes drawn into a mystery which only Arsene Lupin can solve. By Maurice Leblanc who in this novel blends together the detective genre with fantasy and sci-fi.Sixteen pages of adverts to the rear dated February 1920. In the original publisher's cloth binding.
