Asseline, possibly the politician Louis Asseline, for an admission ticket to the then-private Parc Monceaux (here, Parc de Mousseaux) in Paris: "on m'a assuré qu'en me addressant à vous, il me sera facile d'obtenir une carte d'entrée pour le Parc de Mousseaux. Puis je espèrer que vous voulez être assez bon pour prendre la peine de me faire savoir si mon désir peut être satisfait, et si je ne commets pas une indiscrétion [...]". - Alexander Batta was among the first cello virtuosos of his time. A series of concerts with Franz Liszt at the piano and Chrétien Urhan playing the violin in 1837 brought him early fame. Among his many friends and admirers were Hector Berlioz, Gioacchino Rossini, Honoré de Balzac, Eugène Delacroix, and Camille Corot. - Traces of former mounting. Minimally browned.

Des engagements m'appellent loin de Paris [...]". - A student of Platel in Brussels, Batta later settled in Paris (1835) and made many successful concert tours throughout Europe. A regular chamber music partner of Liszt and an intimate of Berlioz, he wrote many original works and fanciful transcriptions for cello and piano. - Traces of folding.

Je vous en remercie. J'ai depuis longtemps dit à Monsieur Doucet tout ce que j'ai cru utile à votre pauvre petite protégée. Je reviendrai à la charge et ferai pour elle de mon mieux. Sa santé est faible et je crois que la voix ne se développera jamais : cela a été flétri par le froid et la misère. Je me suis attaché à elle comme si elle devait être une chantante et je tâcherai de lui apprendre ce que ses moyens limités pourront permettre [...]". - Battaille's most famous role was that of Peter the Great in Meyerbeer's "L'étoile du nord" (1854). - On stationery with embossed monogram. L'amore, la violenza e la filosofia. Idee per una didattica integrata con la musica dei Baustelle
br. "L'amore, la violenza e la filosofia" è focalizzato sul rapporto tra la filosofia e una band italiana: i Baustelle. Questo rapporto risulta particolarmente fruttuoso a livello scolastico e l'idea del libro nasce proprio all'interno della scuola di secondo grado, come metodologia alternativa di didattica. Spesso alcuni concetti filosofici, difficili da spiegare, appaiono più facilmente comprensibili attraverso una trasposizione in questo caso musicale. E poi come dice lo stesso Platone, a volte è più utile ricorrere a un esempio chiarificatore per spiegare qualcosa che a parole risulterebbe troppo complesso. Alcuni esempi: nel testo de "La guerra è finita" viene raccontata la storia di una ragazza che decide di suicidarsi ed è interessante chiedersi cosa sarebbe successo alla ragazza se avesse conosciuto l'etica di Immanuel Kant. Nella canzone "Il liberismo ha i giorni contati" viene affrontato il tema del capitalismo, utilizzando un breve saggio di Walter Benjamin sul capitalismo come religione per passare ad analizzare la strutturazione della realtà portata avanti da questa espressione economica con la creazione neoliberista dei non-luoghi. Viene anche affrontato il tema dell'amore platonico approfittando dell'ispirato testo della canzone EN, che sembra descrivere una scala di esaltazione amorosa verso l'alto proprio come fa il filosofo ateniese. Ogni capitolo è corredato da un QR code che conduce direttamente al video YouTube della canzone in modo da rendere la lettura un ascolto e l'ascolto una lettura più profonda.

Se io in etá avanzata devo ancora correre il mondo avró le mie ragioni, e le moltissime persone alle quali devo pensare soccorrere ajutare mantenere m'impedicono aumentarne il numereo. Lei forse ha credito rivoglersi a me supponendomi in condzioni diverse da quale in cui mit trovo [...].". - Der aus Rom gebürtige Baritonsänger war u. a. am Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, am Teatro Pedro II. in Rio de Janeiro, am Teatro São José in São Paulo und an der Covent Garden Opera in London zu hören. "1892 wirkte er bei der Uraufführung der Oper ‚I Rantzau' von Pietro Mascagni mit. Jules Massenet schrieb für Battistini die Titelpartie seiner Oper ‚Werther' für Bariton um. Auch Giuseppe Verdi schätzte den Sänger sehr. Es kam jedoch zu einer Mißstimmung zwischen den beiden Künstlern, als Battistini die Hauptrolle in Verdis ‚Falstaff' ablehnte. Richard Wagner erklärte Battistinis Interpretation der Arie ‚O du mein holder Abendstern' aus der Oper ‚Tannhäuser' zu seiner Lieblingsversion.
