Er gab zahlreiche Gastspiele, u. a. an der Covent Garden Opera in London, 1942/43 als Waldner in "Arabella" in Salzburg sowie 1952 als Rocco im "Fidelio" bei den Festspielen von Edinburgh.

To an impresario in London, agreeing to play a concert: "En réponse à votre lettre j'ai l'honneur de vous prévenir que j'aurai grand plaisir à jouer votre concert pour le cinq et 10 janvier". - Herz was a frequent guest on the stages of London after his debut on 10 June 1833 at the Royal Philharmonic Society. In 1835, he dedicated his 3rd piano concert in d-minor to the Royal Philharmonic Society and debuted it thereat. Thus, he was probably in London when he agreed to play a concert for the unidentified recipient. - Traces of folds. Somehwat stained and creased. The lower margin of the address leaf clipped (no loss to text).

Aujourd'hui je viens me rendre à votre désir en vous offrant la propriété pour l'Angleterre d'une nouvelle Fantaisie brillante sur trois des plus beaux motifs de Lucrezia Borgia, si, toutefois cet opéra n'est pas propriété d'une autre maison à Londres ce que vous me feriez plaisir de m'apprendre par le retour de ce courrier. Telling his publisher Schott that Herz' last concert is fixed for Saturday 21st because of some holiday arrangements, something unnamed, probably another concert could therefore only be set on the 17th, 18th, or 19th, and that Schott could anounce it in his recommandations in the name of Herz. Further Herz is requesting a response and informing that he will probably meet Massèt, Beriot, M.elle Garcia, and others on 21th "aux Augustins": "Je m'empresse de vous prévenir que par suite de plusieurs arrangements feriés, mon dernier concert ici est fixé au Samdie 21 [...] Il faut donc fixer celui d'avant au 17-18 ou 19, [...] vous pouvez annoncer dans votre avis de mon part [...]".
