[Scienze varie] (cm. 16.3) Ottima piena pergamena originale con unghie e tracce di lacci. - cc., 8 nn., cc. 166, c. 1 con registro e bella marca tipografica a piena pagina in xilografia, fregi e capilettera figurati, carattere corsivo. Opera curiosa e rara. Tratta di, aritmetica, musica, astrologia, intelletto, sapienza, religione, politica, ragione, passioni, virtù, fede, angeli, arti magiche, e molte altre cose. L'edizione originale apparve nel 1556 e fu tratta dall'opera di Alfonso Della Torre, "Vision deleytable de la philosophia." Scritta nel 1484. Anche gli Spagnoli avevano dimenticato che l'opera apparteneva alla loro letteratura e fu ristampata in Spagnolo col nome di Delfino, confronta in proposito le varie edizioni in Palau. Molto raro manca all'Adams, BM.STC., Wellcome, Waller, Durling e Moranti. Il CENSUS ICCU dichiara 12 copie nelle biblioteche italiane. br. Nel 1969 un gruppo di insegnanti di Educazione musicale saliva le scale di uno studio notarile per siglare la nascita di una nuova associazione. Quell'Associazione è la SIEM. Nel cinquantesimo anniversario della fondazione, Carlo Delfrati, suo ideatore, fondatore e promotore, ne ripercorre la storia, in un racconto che è anche autobiografia e in cui la sua genesi affonda le radici nell'infanzia di un bambino che comincia la scuola nell'ultimo anno della Seconda Guerra. Una scuola muta, dove la musica era contemplata solo sulla carta. L'autore descrive in prima persona lo sforzo che si è reso necessario per affermare l'importanza dell'educazione musicale come forma di linguaggio e perciò diritto individuale di ciascun cittadino. La SIEM nasce proprio dalla convinzione di quanto questo diritto sia fecondo e prezioso per promuovere le risorse individuali e sociali, per la stessa crescita democratica di un Paese, il lavoro di squadra, il confronto delle idee, la cooperazione costruttiva. Motto è stato conseguito da quel lontano 1969: valga per tutti l'introduzione della seconda ora di musica nella scuola media; ma molto è ancora da raggiungere sia sul piano istituzionale, sia didattico. E se il docente di oggi non opera più nella solitudine di un tempo, incombe sempre il rischio di marginalizzare la musica, dimenticando quanto sia un bisogno primario di ciascuno di noi e dovere della politica dargli soddisfazione.

br. Anche nel mondo dell'educazione, scolastica o famigliare che sia, agiscono personaggi scordati, o accordati secondo sistemi arcaici, a volte addirittura controproducenti. Accanto a questi educatori, ne esistono per fortuna altri che hanno saputo trovare il temperamento giusto per arrivare ad alimentare con successo i cuori e le menti dei loro giovani. Questo vale per la musica, che resta l'oggetto principale del libro. Ma vale, c'è da credere, per ogni altro contenuto. Quali saranno le caratteristiche di un educatore ben temperato, per riprendere una volta di più il titolo del capolavoro bachiano? Cosa lo distingue da uno intemperato? Il volume esplora a una a una queste caratteristiche: i diversi fattori che concorrono a disegnare lo stile dell'educatore o dell'insegnante, ossia la metodologia didattica. Anzi, le metodologie, ciò che aiuta i ragazzi a crescere e a imparare, contrapposto a ciò che invece può più facilmente scoraggiarli e alla fin fine allontanarli dal sapere e dal fare. Riguardano i comportamenti vincenti (o perdenti) dell'insegnante, il suo modo di introdurre gli argomenti, di porsi davanti agli allievi, di sorreggerli nell'apprendimento, di costruire la loro autonomia; le strategie che l'allievo è invitato a mettere in campo per imparare efficacemente; il rapporto tra studio individuale e relazione col gruppo; i modi di disporre lungo l'anno i contenuti della disciplina; lo spazio per il lavoro tecnico; lo spazio per la creatività e l'iniziativa personale dell'allievo; il modo di collegare le attività pratiche (suonare, cantare, improvvisare, comporre) fra loro, e fra queste e le attività cognitive (teoria, analisi, storia, scrittura). E altre tematiche ancora. Ognuno di questi argomenti è esplorato con una varietà di esempi e di rimandi a realtà culturali anche esterne allo specifico musicale, dall'arte alla linguistica, dal cinema al pensiero scientifico. Il ricchissimo corredo delle opere consultate, italiane e non, testimonia l'ampiezza degli studi e delle ricerche che sono servite a congegnare la trama del libro, e si offrono come patrimonio bibliografico per chi intenda approfondirne le particolari tematiche. Aperto a ventaglio fra l'educazione primaria e l'istruzione specialistica, questo libro è destinato agli insegnanti di discipline musicali (e non!) dei diversi livelli scolastici e accademici, così come a quanti hanno a cuore i destini dell'educazione musicale nel nostro paese.

Delibes erwähnt eine Abwesenheit aus Paris und die Einladung des Komponisten Jules Bordiers, Ehrenvizepräsident einer von diesem gegründeten Künstlervereinigung in Angers zu werden. "Vous avez bien pensé, n'est ce pas, en ne me voyant pas à la soirée [...] et en n'entendant pas parler de moi, que je n'étais pas à Paris? - en effet, je ne suis revenu que le surlendemain pour repartir presque aussitôt. - J'ai bien regretté de ne pouvoir me rendre à cette session qui m'interessait doublement en point de vue de la musique hongroise et de mon admiration pour le peintre. - Dois-je envoyer une carte rue Legendre? - autre chose. - J'ai reçu, il y a quelque temps déjà une lettre du plus aimable de votre ami Mr. Jules Bordier, d'angers. Il me fait l'honneur de me demander si je veux accepter le titre de vice-président d'honneur de l'association philharmonique d'angers. - Je suis entiérement flatté de cette proposition, mais je ne me trouve pas suffisamment [...] pour cela; et je n'accepterais que dans le cas où il y aurait plusieurs vice-présidents, et où je me trouverais avec St Saëns, Massenet, Guiraud, Joncières, tous ceux qui étaient du premier [...], (celui qui a laissé de si brilliants souvenirs de la Galanterie facile de l'Anjou!) - Un mot de réponse, je vous prie, afin que je réponde moi même à Mr Bordier; j'ai déjà bien à m'excuser de mon retard [...]".

3 SS. auf Doppelblatt. 8vo. Antwortschreiben an einen nicht namentlich genannten Empfänger, der Delibes um ein Engagement für eine von ihm protegierte Sängerin gebeten hatte. Delibes verspricht sie Theaterdirektoren zu empfehlen und kann sich vorstellen ihr eine kleine Rolle in einem seiner Stücke zu verschaffen, sofern sie im Vorsingen überzeugt: "Mille pardons, cher ami, d'avoir autant tardé a répondre a ta lettre si cordiale. J'ai été on ne peut plus touché des bons sentiments que tu m'exprimes et que je te rends une injure. Je suis entièrement a toi pour ce qui pourra être utile a ta protégée et je puis en parler à Cogniard ou à Noriel [?] mais je ne puis que la recommander chaudement. Je n'ai rien en projet aux bouffes pour le moment et aux variétés la distribution de la Cour du Roi Pétaud qui se répète depuis six semains est arrêtée. - Il n'y aurait que dans le cas où elle se contenterait de très petits rôles composés surtout des fragments de couplets, et si elle chantait bien, qu'il y aurait peut être moyen de la caser dans notre 3eme acte. Mais encore faut il que je l'entends pour en parler avec connaissance de cause. Vois ce qu'elle désire, et tant ce qui me séra possible pour lui être agréable je le ferai avec empressement, sachant que cela t'intéresse [...]". - Das erwähnte Varietéstück "La Cour du Roi Pétaud" ist 1869 entstanden und bietet einen Anhaltspunkt für die Datierung des Briefs. Seinen größten Erfolg feierte Léo Delibes mit der Oper "Lakmé", die 1883 in der Pariser Opéra-Comique uraufgeführt wurde.

Delibes ist stolz darauf, bereits im ersten Durchgang die erforderlichen Stimmen erhalten zu haben: "profondément heureux cher ami. élu avec belle majorité au 1er tour. 26 voix sur 37 votants [...]". - Worüber abgestimmt wurde, geht aus dem Rohrpost-Schreiben leider nicht hervor.
