1981159 pages. Black and white illustrations. "Author is a holocaust survivor who, when this book was written, lived in Montreal. He escaped from Vilna and after the second world war spent several years in West Germany where he directed the War Crimes Section of the Legal Department of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in Munich. For three years after the war he devoted all his energies to the prosecution of Nazi accomplices throughout Europe. His departure from Germany in 1949 marked the end of almost 10 years during which he had been an inmate of Nazi ghettos, a fugitive hiding out in the Polish countryside, an intelligence officer in a Russian-commanded partisan brigade, an unwilling member of the Soviet Secret Police, a refugee in West Germany, and finally a hunter of Nazi war criminals." - paraphrased from pages 20-21. Years after its publication, this book is being used to argue that the author lied about his wartime conduct to gain entry to Canada. Clean and unmarked with light wear. Sound copy. Book

1986966 pages. Bibliography. Lists of Documents, Primary and Secondary Sources. List of cases cited. "Includes 822 opinions on individual cases." - from page iv. "Between 1971 and 1986, public statements by outside interveners concerning alleged war criminals residing in Canada have spread increasingly large and grossly exaggerated figures as to their estimated number. Even leaving aside the figure of 6,000 ventured in 1986 by Mr. Simon Wiesenthal, and before a detailed examination of each of the cases appearing on the Commission's Master List, this list already shows no less than a 400 per cent over-estimate by the proponents of those figures." - from page 249.
