The first edition of a fascinating archaeological study into a region trodden by Alexander the Great and Achaemenid rulers profusely illustrated throughout. Contains all one-hundred and twelve photographic illustrations all thirty-one plates of artefacts to the rear in-text maps as well as both folding maps including one in colour tucked into rear pastedown.
