With the book covering Stein's four journeys between 1932-1936 we are offered a wonderful portrait of both Hellenic and Persian archaeology which once riddled the region. Aurel Stein was also an important figure within the Great Game the imperial struggle for influence in Central Asia between Britain and Russia. In the publisher's decorative original maroon cloth. 1933réf. Couverture rigide
