The first 8 pages and last 4 show equipment manufacture advertisements. Various contributors articles throughout the issue. one full page and one folding map. 16 black and white illustrations including a folding panorama. Most of the issue is dedicated to the 1922 Mount Everest Expedition that included Bruce Strutt Mallory and Finch. The only other article in this issue is by Noel Odell on the Oxford Expedition to Spitsbergen. The RGS Journal article predate Bruce's book "Assault on Mount Everest" which came out in 1924. This is an 'as new issu'e of the Journal and it would be difficult to find a nice copy. Many of the major mountaineering players of the time are in this issue! 1922 Royal Geographical Society unknown

Slight forward lean to spine binding is otherwise sturdy and fully intact; edges of boards are worn cloth split over corners; front board rubbed gilt design dulled but clearly visible gilt on backstrip dulled and only faintly legible; very light wear to gilt top edge; interior and text/illustrations are clean and crisp.
