Il volume II riprende: 1 il concetto di monema la più piccola scelta che il parlante fa dotata di lessicale un significato il senso, e/o grammaticale un significante il suono(i fonemi) duplice scelta che comporta la presenza di monemi lessicali (o lessemi) a serie aperta che rientrano nel lessico; monemi grammaticali (o morfemi) a serie chiusa (di numero limitato) che rientrano nella grammatica. Il tutto applicato al verbo e all'avverbio, concludendo così il ciclo del I. Si passa successivamente all'organizzazione interna alle parole, agli elementi formativi, affissi e desinenze, che si uniscono alla radice delle parole, incidendo sui significati semantici e anche sui significati sintattici. (II Parte della morfologia: quella area della grammatica che praticamente studia i mutamenti nella pagina sonora delle parole, non trascurando però il loro significato semantico-sintetico: come dimostrano molti esercizi allegati). Anche sotto questo aspetto si tiene conto quindi dei suggerimenti della linguistica generale contemporanea.
