First edition. Self-published but distributed by Robertson & Mullens at 7/6 Mann had 1000 copies printed by Periodicals Pty Ltd in Melbourne and was hopeful that Angus & Robertson would publish a trade edition after the novel won the 1932 Australian Literature Society Gold Medal but it was still rejected. In this and other signed copies Mann also corrects the typographical errors in the Shakespeare quote on p. 323. Very scarce. Phaedrus hardcover
