He came to England in 1908 and then to the United States in 1920. First teaching at the Baltimore Hebrew College and later until the end of his life at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. From Cincinnati Jacob Mann dominated the field and provided the solid bricks needed for future work. Some regular age wear to books ex library copy as indicated by stamp books are in good condition. Author also wrote: "The Jews in Egypt and Palestine under the Fatimid Caliphs: a contribution to their political and communal history based chiefly on Genizah material hitherto unpublished" "Asenath's Petition" on the Jews of Kurdistan and "The Bible as Read and Preached in the Old Synagogue Hebrew Union College Placement Bereau unknown books
