Commentaries on the Holy Scriptures by Origenes of Alexandria a Greek theologian and philosopher who lived between 185 and 254. Pierre-Daniel Huet was the first to publish the Greek texts largely derived from ancient manuscripts and collated the various existing editions; he supplemented the Greek with Latin translations prepared partly by himself and partly by others and illustrated the entire work with notes and observations. The first part prefaced by his 'Origeniana' a tripartite study recounting Origen's life examining his doctrine and reviewing his writings serves as the introduction to the whole. apud Andream Pralard bibliopolam, via Jacobæa, ad insigne occasionis unknown books
