With the scarce original unclipped dust wrapper. Oscar Wilde's Intentions comprises four essays: 'The Decay of Lying'; 'Pen Pencil and Poison'; 'The Critic as Artist' and 'The Truth of Masks'. Published at the height of his form Wilde explores art literature criticism and society lamenting the decay of Lying as an art in the first essay. In the original green cloth binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear. Dust wrapper is sunned to the spine with minor edge wear and the odd handling mark. Sympathetic tape repair to tail of spine with light loss to the head. Loosely based on the 1897 Oscar Wilde poem "The Ballad of Reading Gaol." Featuring early performances by George Takei and eventual director of "Fright Night" Tom Holland. In a 2006 interview with Howard Stern Takei revealed that the sex scenes were shot with body doubles and added only after the film was unable to secure distribution. Takei added that he was "impressed" with the body double used for his character. Three recently divorced twenty somethings abandon their suffocating lives and shack up as free-sprited free-love hippies. Today a cult favorite. Giorgia De Cousandier vicedirettrice della "Voce dell'America" traduttrice pubblicista poetessa e narratrice conobbe Sinisgalli nel 1942 in virtù di amicizie comuni Velso Mucci e Dora Broussard. La nobile baronessa romana intelligente e brillante entrò nella vita di Leonardo Sinisgalli in maniera anticonvenzionale e dirompente. Musa ispiratrice e complice ebbe tra gli altri il merito il 14 maggio del 1944 di salvare dalla prigione di Via Tasso dai nazisti Leonardo catturato dopo che il suo nome era stato trovato sul taccuino di un amico antifascista.
