De afbeeldingen zijn uitgevoerd in hoogwaardige koperdiepdruk heliogravure een techniek met mooie toonrijkdom en detailweergave.De uitgave verscheen in 1940 in een periode waarin artistieke fotografie in Duitsland sterk werd beïnvloed door de idealen van lichamelijke schoonheid gezondheid en classicisme.
