2000This is a very good softcover copy with almost no wear. Completely clean inside and out. TEXT IN SWEDISH. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at Waldemarsrudde, Stockholm during the late summer and fall of 2000. Organized by Ingrid Ehrhardt and Simon Reynolds. The exhibition also travelled to Birmingham, England and Frankfurt, Germany. In English the title of the exhibition is: 'Kingdom of the Soul - Symbolist Art in Germany, 1870 - 1920'. Essays by a dozen art historians on different aspects of the German Symbolist art movement. The largest section concerns painting, but also an extensive section on sculpture. Briefer reviews of graphic arts and book design and fine bindings. Bibliography. Exhibition checklist has over 195 works (some numbers have a, b, c etc. parts). Hundreds of illustrations including dozens of color plates. 12" high X 10" wide, 333 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.

Strappo orizzontale a pag. 91 con parziale perdita di testo. Interesting number of the 13th of May 1854 of the L'Album di Roma, a magazine of litterature, art, voyages and archeology. Inside there is a beautiful engraving representing the Baltico Sea (unfortunately with an horizontal tear) and of Hoffmann. Inside different articles: voyage around Baltico sea; Hoffmann; histroical resuming of the city of Cento (uncomplete, it begins in another number). In good conditions Editorial cover in good general conditions slightly worn in the left edges. Binding is almost absent. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings, worn edges. Horizontal tear in page 92 with partial loss of text.

2018La comprensione della necessità di un ritorno al vincolo del mistero che, in fondo, è riconsiderazione della configurazione della ragione in forma di risposta a un appello – e per questo incapace di un’autentica sovranità – costituisce il filo conduttore di tutto il testo. La minuziosa disamina degli snodi fondamentali del testo narrativo di Hoffmann fa tutt’uno con la successiva parte che costituisce il volume, e nella quale il venire alla luce della falsa autonomia moderna trova la sua fondazione filosofica attraverso un interessante, e lucido, rimando tra le posizioni di Heidegger, Girard e Maritain. Si potrebbe quasi giungere ad affermare che Bigini utilizza la continua triangolazione di questi tre autori come una chiave interpretativa basilare capace di mostrare non solo la verità del testo hoffmaniano in contrapposizione ad alcune precedenti interpretazioni, ma anche il suo dispiegarsi nella forma di una critica che è possibile comprendere solo attraverso la comparazione tra le due possibili dinamiche esistenziali – una fondativa e l’altra degenerativa – della trascendenza e dell’autonoma immanenza. Juli 1852 in Darmstadt; † 11. November 1932 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Architekt und von 1896 bis 1924 Stadtbaurat in Berlin. Prägend wurde er für die Architektur Berlins in einer Zeit, in der die Hauptstadt stark wuchs. Zahlreiche öffentliche Verwaltungsgebäude, Schulen, Brücken, Schwimmbäder, Krankenhäuser und andere städtische Bauten konnte er planen und verwirklichen. Hoffmann nannte in seinen Lebenserinnerungen 300 Bauten in 111 Bauanlagen, tatsächlich baute er mehr.[1] Typisch für sein Werk waren die Errichtung des Virchow-Klinikums, der Heilanstalten in Berlin-Buch, von 69 Schulen sowie öffentlichen Schwimmbädern wie dem Baerwaldbad. Hoffmanns Tätigkeit als Stadtbaurat umfasste die Zeit wirtschaftlichen Aufschwungs und Wachstums im Deutschen Kaiserreich, den Ersten Weltkrieg und die Novemberrevolution von 1918 sowie die Jahre der Inflation. Hoffmanns erstes Bauwerk war das Reichsgericht in Leipzig. Aus der späten Schinkel-Schule kommend verfolgte Hoffmann einen Stil des modernen Historismus. Hoffmann bediente sich historischer Formen, stellte sie aber häufig unorthodox zusammen. Diese Formen übernahm er oft aus der italienischen Renaissance oder dem italienischen Barock, später auch aus der norddeutschen Renaissance. Zeitgenossen lobten Klarheit und Einfachheit seiner Bauten. Hoffmann selbst legte Wert auf die individuelle Gestaltung jedes einzelnen Baues und eine künstlerische und handwerkliche Durchdringung aller Details. Particularly important because of two articles: one by Carlebach on why women should cover their hair (Haarverhullung des judischen Weibes); the other is on the first publication anywhere of Maimonides commentary on Rosch Haschanah (Bamberger, S: Die bisher unedierten Teile von Maimonides Mischnah-Commentar zu Rosch Haschanah). All articles are separately paged in roman numerals, with the continuous paging at foot of page. "Bibliographie der schriften und aufsätze des dr. D. Hoffmann, von rabbiner dr. L. Fischer" on pages [vii]-xxiv. The German Encyclopaedia Judaica (vol VIII, 162) notes, that Hoffmann (1843-1921) was a Talmud- und Bibelforscher. Zum 70. Geburtstage H.
