rif. 472161H. Nicolle Libraire. Hardcover. Good. In his quite lengthy preface to this 2nd edition the translator admits that he is just the latest in a long line of translators of this Greek poet's work and modestly hopes that although he has corrected and amended the text of the first edition there will in future be even better translations for students of the original work. The Greek text and the French translation are printed on alternate pages for ease of comparison by the reader. The original preface is also included along with the original preface by de Brunck and a dedication to M. Girodet. This is a scarce volume. Copyright © H. Nicolle Libraire H.
