Owner's initials in neat pen to the half title page. Two or three pages with child's fingerprints but overall this is surprisingly clean. The front board pastedown in the circular inset is lightly rubbed and slightly scratched. No tape marks are tears while the inner hinges are cracked at the rear board but still really solid. Much better than many of this age and not pulled about by former owner's tiny fingers. A rather nice early edition sold at a price that won't break the bank! FREDERICK WARNE AND CO hardcover
