Upon his return this report was issued by the Treasury Dept. that detailed his expenditures for scientific instruments and books as well as chronometers. All the devices makers cost specifications etc. are listed in the report offered here. Hassler's account is bound up with two other Treasury Dept. reports of the same year - separately issued - that provide information on the expenses of the Indian Department and general and particular information on trade with the Indian nations.
