Book is in German and doesn't have a dust jacket. Quarter-bound leather with tan covers and blue leather spine. Spine has four raised bands and gilt lettering and front cover has a coat of arms of Duisburg-Rheinhausen. Top end of spine has some wear and small tears at the front and back edges. Inside front cover has a bookplate from a prior owner American. Tissue paper protecting frontispiece picture of Hitler is loose. Tips of some upper page corners are bent and creased. Top edges of pages are gilt-covered. This book appears to be a wedding edition but not presented to anyone. Book is in very good minus condition. This copy of Mein Kampf was the first to be translated into French but was not authorized by Hitler or his German publisher Franz Eher and was forced to be withdrawn. The French populace was obviously interested in Hitler's writings especially in regard to his intentions towards France. An authorized edition was translated into French in 1938 entitled Ma Doctrine published by a leading French publishing house Librairie Arthème Fayard.
