1804In-8° antico (cm. 23x16), pp. (4), 293 + 13 TAVOLE ILLUSTRATE ripiegate (8 TAVOLE a numerazione araba + in fine, che non c'erano nella prima edizione! - 5 TAVOLE a numerazione romana, ognuna con molte FIGURE + 1 grande TABELLA ripiegata per regolare la grossezza de' rampanti guarniti di contrafforti). L'interno è freschissimo, nelle sue barbe e ad ampi margini, immacolato salvo per tracce di sporco ricorrenti negli angoli inferiori di alcuni fogli (che crediamo originarie da stamperia) e alcune orecchie. La PERGAMENA MANOSCRITTA usata come legatura reca un frammento del Cantico della Fornace dal libro di Daniele, 3, 43 (Cantico di Azaria nella fornace", che si usava cantare nelle feste "De Prophetis": " [pro]tege nos semper / [li]bera domine deus Isra[hel] clamantes ad te. Erue nos in mirabilibus tuis et da gloriam nomini [tuo]".

Studio di Jacopo Bettazzi relativo all'opera del frate cappuccino Melitone da Perpignano intitolata Gregoriana Correctio illustrata, ampliata, & a conviicis vindicata, ubi omnia saecula... Bettazzi aveva proposto una riforma del calendario gregoriano in un'opera stampata a Firenze nel 1733 presso Paperini dal titolo Epitome operis paschalis Jacobi Bettazzi Pratensis ... proferens in prooemio necessitatem emendandi correctionem gregorianam... in cui proponeva di emendare il calendario gregoriano senza variare il calendario stesso ed il martiriologio e discuteva la questione relativa all'esatto anno della nascita di Cristo. Il nostro esemplare e' di grande interesse poiche' al p. ant. compare una lettera manoscritta con bella grafia dello stesso Bettazzi inviata da Firenze nel febbraio 1743.
