From a review by LAUREN B. RESNICK in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books 1979 Vol 243 191-192: "In Search of the IQ Correlation: A Scientific Whodunit by Renée Fuller 1977. This book reports a study in which a small number of severely retarded people learned to read using a method that according to the author makes demands upon inferential and other intellectual abilities generally thought to be absent in these people. On the basis of this surprise finding the author calls into question both the validity of IQ tests and the theory of human intellectual functioning on which she claims these tests rest." -- PsycINFO Database Record c 2006 APA.
