Du 7 octobre 1767. [Besançon], Claude-Joseph Daclin, 1767. In-folio, 8p. Beau document. [90]

Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Paperback. Wrapper is repaired. Tape on spine. Chipped on last page. Other wise a good copy. Folio. (40 x 28 cm). In Ottoman script. 72 p., 14 cedvels (schemes) and [14] p. color statistics. Meclis-i Mebûsân Birinci devre 1325-1326 içtimai. 326 senesi muâzene-i umûmîsi hakkinda [.] kaleme alinan esbâb-i mûcibe mazbata-yi umûmîsi. Meclis-i Mebûsân (The Chamber of Deputies) of the Ottoman Empire was the lower house of the General Assembly, the Ottoman Parliament. Unlike to the upper house, the Senate, the members of the Chamber of Deputies were elected by the general Ottoman populace, although suffrage was limited to males of a certain financial standing, among other restrictions that varied over the Chamber's lifetime. The Second Constitutional Era of the Ottoman Empire began shortly after Abdul Hamid II was forced to restore the constitutional monarchy after the 1908 Young Turk Revolution. The period established many political groups and parties. Ahmet Riza became the first President of the Chamber in 1908. An amendment in 1909 to the original 1876 constitution resulted in the Chamber gaining more true political power at the expense of the non-democratically elected Senate and the Sultan. A series of elections during this period resulted in the gradual ascendance of the Committee of Union and Progress's (CUP) domination in politics. The second largest party Liberal Unionist Party (LU) (Turkish: Hürriyet ve Itilâf) was in fact a coalition of parties led by Prince Sabahaddin. This is a rare protocol register book of Meclis-i Mebûsân. First and Only Edition. Not in Özege.; Not in OCLC.

1831réf. 19854London 1831. FIRST PRINTING. Drop title; with a number of contemporary annotations corrections on Schedules A and B pp. 26-27. Sewn as issued preserved in a folding case. First printing of the final revisions to the Great Reform Bill. This was the second bill put up for a Parliamentary vote. The initial version of the bill March 1831 was rejected by Parliament. The Great Reform Bill of 1831 also known as the Reform Act was a significant piece of legislation in the United Kingdom aimed at addressing the deficiencies in the electoral system. Before the bill representation in Parliament was heavily skewed with many industrial cities lacking adequate representation while rural areas held disproportionate power. The bill sought to expand the electorate improve representation and reduce the influence of "rotten boroughs" which were sparsely populated constituencies that had the same voting power as more populous areas. The bill proposed to extend the franchise to more men particularly those in the burgeoning middle class and aimed to redistribute parliamentary seats to reflect population changes especially due to the industrial revolution. Although it faced fierce opposition from the House of Lords public pressure and widespread protests highlighted the demand for reform. The rejection of the initial version of the bill led to a wave of public agitation and a second attempt which was again passed by the House of Commons and rejected by the House of Lords. Ultimately this third version passed after the government threatened to create new peers to secure its approval in the House of Lords. The Great Reform Bill marked a pivotal moment in British political history laying the groundwork for future electoral reforms and increasing public participation in the democratic process. unknown
