"Many New Brunswick teachers appear to find difficulty in obtaining material for their Social Studies projects. In this book will be found a wealth of material dealing with certain portions of the course in that subject. Here are stories of the early days in this province, descriptions of pioneer life, information about important figures in our history from the first settlements to the present time, and facts in connection with our provincial industries. All this is presented in an interesting manner, thus forming a volume which the children will read with profit and pleasure." - Foreword to Teachers. Please note: pages 41-48 loose but present.
