Publication of the Pauli-Villars regularization P-V an important principle in quantum theory. Pauli and Villars's paper was a direct inspiration for Julian Schwinger's "On gauge invariance and vacuum polarization" 1951 his greatest and most-cited paper; Schwinger one of the founders of modern quantum electrodynamics shared the Nobel Prize with Feynman and Tomonaga in 1965. . unknown books

Alongside John Cage and Edgar Varese Morton Feldman is regarded by many as one of the foremost American composers of the twentieth century. Evidence of his lifelong passion for music can be found in the numerous interviews and lectures he gave about his life and work. But despite his reputation and creative output very little has been published on this charismatic fi gure. In "Morton Feldman Says editor Chris Villars has collected two decades of interviews many available here for the fi rst time illustrating Feldman's creative process and his wide range of cultural interests and references especially to visual art. "Morton Feldman Says" contains the fi rst English translation of Sebastian Claren's biographical notes as well as conversations with Gavin Bryars Kevin Volans and Walter Zimmermann as well as transcriptions of two of Feldman's lectures held in Toronto 1982 and Johannesburg 1983. 1718réf. 19091“Cologne”; the Hague: “Pierre Marteau” 1718. lacking final two blanks Contemporary blind-ruled mottled calf spine and label gilt edges marbled blue blue silk marker. Old armorial ex-libris bookplate. Some paper flaws and rough cuts not affecting text. Two satirical anonymous occult texts taking aim at Rosicrucianism. The first is written in the form of a dialogue between a cabalist Comte de Gabalis and a skeptic. The five “entretiens” or interviews attempt to discount the Paracelsian doctrine on elementary spirits and parody alchemy divination and astrology. Whether deliberate or not the book revealed many secrets closely held in the Rosicrucian and Jansenist circles and for this slight Villars was murdered 3 years after publication of the first edition 1670. The second text purports to be of the same authorship but this would be impossible as the first edition offered here was published 45 years after Villars’ death. Brunet and other bibliographers have ascribed it to Antoine Androl. The narrative piggybacks off Comte de Gabalis describing and denouncing the elemental spirits of genies and gnomes. I.
