An extremely odd association copy with the authentic bookplate of French statesman Léon Gambetta 1838-1882 who had died thirty years before the book was published! 8vo. Bound in contemporary quarter cloth and marbled boards. Uncut. Original wraps preserved. Light wear to binding. A little internal spotting as almost always with Chinese paper. Else fine and bright.
