2016br. Questo volume è dedicato a una vasta gamma di questioni metodologiche della filosofia politica contemporanea. Alla base dei vari capitoli che lo compongono vi è l'intero e composito percorso della ricerca filosofica di Gianpasquale Preite e degli studi compiuti in tale ambito fino a oggi. L'autore è riuscito a tracciare un quadro che lascia scorgere sullo sfondo i nuovi orizzonti della filosofia politica, intesa essenzialmente come filosofia delle scienze sociali. Ciò costituisce l'assunto del libro che si sviluppa su un solido piano metodologico e che gli conferisce una pregevole peculiarità. In questo quadro, il libro offre gli strumenti per delineare una mappa di percorsi in cui la filosofia incrocia altri saperi, rendendo così maggiormente visibili nella loro specificità gli snodi che articolano il discorso filosofico-politico. L'evoluzione scientifica, con la moltiplicazione dei saperi, non ha ancora promosso l'integrazione delle conoscenze accumulate, ma i rami soli non possono vivere senza il tronco e le radici, un compito svolto fin dalle origini dalla filosofia.
