Please inquire for more information. Aaron Copland was an American composer critic writer teacher pianist and conductor of his own and other American music. Copland was referred to by his peers and critics as the "Dean of American Composers". The open slowly changing harmonies in much of his music are typical of what many consider the sound of American music evoking the vast American landscape and pioneer spirit. He is best known for the works he wrote in the 1930s and 1940s in a deliberately accessible style often referred to as "populist" and which he called his "vernacular" style. Works in this vein include the ballets Appalachian Spring Billy the Kid and Rodeo his Fanfare for the Common Man and Third Symphony. In addition to his ballets and orchestral works he produced music in many other genres including chamber music vocal works opera and film scores. unknown

Right Reverend Dr. Perry Bishop is his holiness of the American Church." Natural folds; near fine condition. The second bishop of Alabama in the Episcopal Church. He was the only bishop to be consecrated by the Episcopal Church in the Confederate States of America which was done on March 6 1862 in Richmond Virginia. American traveler adventurer and author who died at age 39 in an attempt to sail a Chinese junk the Sea Dragon across the Pacific ocean from Hong Kong to the Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco a feat that made him legendary. More recent revelations have shown that Halliburton though infatuated with the image of heroic masculinity was an early proponent of Gay Rights. He was romantically linked to film star Ramon Navarro and philanthropist Noel Sullivan. His most enduring relationship was with freelance journalist Paul Mooney with whom he shared living quarters and perished on March 24 1939. unknown
