A set of relflections on his life edited by his daughter the volume contains a great deal of anecdotes and recollections which are testament to Thomas Hood's renown as a poet and humourist. Also included is a preface by Tom Hood his son who would go on to find similar fame as a writer a pull out letter from Hood and numerous sketches throughout. Includes ink inscription to endpages. In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally sound there is marking and wear to the boards and joints as well as rubbing to the extremities. The backstrip is also starting from the spine. Internally the pages are firmly bound and generally bright and clean aside from the odd instance of foxing. Good Only Methuen hardcover
