This is the first and only bibliography that concentrates exclusively on works of astrology as well as on works containing astrological references, published from the beginning of printing to the end of 19th century. The descriptions of the books are as complete as possible (bibliographical references and even online libraries listings have been painstakingly added to each entry), and many of them are also enhanced with the author?s knowledgeable commentary on the contents. 2370 gr. xxx-1108 p.

1918réf. 7915Detroit: Lyman E. Stowe 1918. First edition. 8vo 4 253 4 55 3 10pp. Illustrations throughout illustrated ads at rear. Bound in original flexible beige cloth boards lettered in black. Nearly fine with a few smudges to boards. One of Michigan occultist Freemason astrologer and publisher Lyman E. Stowe's 1843-Ca. 1920s strange self published works described on the title as "A series of short occult stories real experiences during the life of a man 72 years of age garnished in the clothes of fiction." Most of his books including the present are quite eclectic blending spiritualism astrology Gnosticism prophecy Karma biblical history and other esoteric systems. In this light Stowe was truly a precursor to the modern freethought movement being mainly influenced by his parents exploration of various religious beliefs. As with other titles from Lyman Stowe this book is scarce. OCLC cites 7 holdings. Lyman E. Stowe unknown
