"Foreigner: Migration into Europe 2015–2016 is a photography book that documents the lives of people at various stages of their migration to Europe. The book is divided into three sections focusing on migration to Italy from North Africa migration to Greece and through the Balkans from the middle east and the migrant camp in Calais known as 'The Jungle'. Alongside the photography written texts serve both as a context and a means to share the stories of the people we met during the project. The book was created in response to the imagery used in the media to discuss the issue of migration which we felt was sensationalist alarmist and was not giving people the time and consideration they deserved. We wanted to approach the subject from a calmer perspective using medium format portrait photography as a means of meeting the people at the centre the crisis face to face. 'John Radcliffe Studio' is the creative partnership of Daniel Castro Garcia and Thomas Saxby. 1925ref. H34232Pittsburgh: Trinity Court Studio 1925. Hardcover. Very good. Folio 17 x 15 inches brown cloth stamped in gilt on front cover with 9 photos on paper measuring 13.5 x 9.5 inches the images themselves measuring 9 x 6.5 inches showing the 7 judges individually plus two group photos. Photos appear to be signed faintly in pencil by R. Johnson. On the brown pages on which these photos are mounted the individual judges are identified in Conté crayon. Very good with 1921 certificate broadside from the American Flag House and Betsy Ross Memorial Association declaring Porter a member in good standing 14 x 11 inches somewhat spotty and soiled. William David Porter 1850-1930 was admitted to the Allegheny County Bar in 1872 and served as District Attorney for Allegheny County from 1884 to 1890. From 1891 to 1898 he was a judge in the Court of Common Pleas and as such adjudicated some of the trials resulting from the Homestead Strike of 1892. in 1898 he rose to the Superior Court and was the presiding judge at the time of his death in 1930. 2006Book is in excellent condition with covers showing scuffing with a small mar on the front cover. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean, as-new and free of marking of any kind. Large format, unpaginated, about 275 pages with three short essays by Mr. Galella, Michael Musto and Anthony Haden Guest. The remainder of the book are full page plates with occasional collages in sepia depicting the garish, loud and tawdry excesses of the time wrapped in celebrity overkill of the likes of Steve Rubell, Calvin Klein, Halston, Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger, Grace Jones, and that guy with the blonde hair and glasses who's always taking pictures. Venues include Studio 54, Gynmnasium, the Met, The Roxy, Limelight, Plato's Retreat, Xenon, Trax, Cat Club. It's like asking for whipped cream and sprinkles on your tiramisu, though a very impressive compilation or work imortalizing the time. Ronald Edward Galella is an American photographer, known as a pioneer paparazzo. Dubbed "Paparazzo Extraordinaire" by Newsweek and "the Godfather of the U.S. paparazzi culture" by Time magazine and Vanity Fair, he is regarded by Harper's Bazaar as "the most controversial paparazzo of all time". Publisher's page is marked "First Edition 2006."

Albumen and silver salts on paper titled in negative "Place d'Armes Montreal" at bottom right. Photo measures 7.5 x 9 inches wide mounted on card measuring 7.5 x 9.25 inches wide. Photo with some fading mostly along bottom edge near title card mount slightly curved with browning verso. 1920ref. 97240Prescott AZ: Bate Studio circa 1920's. 1920's. Very good. - Eight original real photo postcards by Bate Studio each measuring 3-1/2 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide depicting scenes from the "Prescott Arizona. Frontier Days" rodeo & performances. The images predominantly depict bronco riding and cattle roping with 2 images depicting Native Americans. The postcards are each identified in white together with the name "Bate" at the bottom of the image. For the most part the white print is very difficult to read. The postcards are also numbered as follows: 11 21 39 50 53 54 57 70. There are creases to the top corners of the postcard numbered 11 and bottom corners of number 54 with minor bumping to the corners of the other postcards. There is some occasional minor soiling. Very good. The first organized rodeo was probably held in Cheyenne Wyoming in 1872. Prescott Arizona claims to have held the first "professional" rodeo charging admission and awarding trophies in 1888. Prescott, AZ: Bate Studio, circa [1920's]. unknown
