1920Best.-Nr. 7923Thomaston GA: Trice - photographer 1920. Very good . One photograph measuring about 9.5" x 7.5" housed in a contemporary mat and somewhat later frame. The photograph is in excellent condition though it has come slightly loosened from the mat. We have not endeavored to open the back of the frame to either fix or examine it. In the center of the image is a large passenger railcar with the locomotive in the background if any identifying markings are present we cannot read them. Posing in front is a group of nearly two dozen businessmen in suits all posing next to a sign reading "Goodrich Silvertowns" which were a popular white wall tire during the 1910s and 1920s which would seem to date this photograph. The photograph is credited on the bottom right corner to Trice Studio in Thomaston GA which is likely the general area in which the photograph was taken. Though slightly mysterious a nicely-sized photograph of a train taken in the rural south. [Trice - photographer] unknown
