Blue cardstock 3 3/4” x 2” with Universal Pictures logo. Studio passes were given to press and industry representatives allowing the bearer access to the studio’s lot and sets. It reads in full: “Identification Card Void After April 1 1937 Admit to Studio Lot for Parking and to Publicity Dept. Only No. 29 stamped Issued to Jimmy Starr L.A. Herald & Express typed Authorized by signed.” Blank on the verso. About fine with the most minute trace of use. Jimmy Starr 1902 - 1990 is best known as a Hollywood columnist though he was also a writer and actor known for The Corpse Came C.O.D. 1947 A Night for Crime 1943 and Pink Pajamas 1929. Some of the 1937 Paramount Studios films Mr. Starr may have enjoyed include such popular productions as Jungle Jim with Grant Withers and Betty Jane Rhodes We Have Our Moments with Sally Ellers and James Dunn and When Love Is Young with Virginia Bruce Kent Taylor and Walter Brennan. Così procedendo ne ho ricavato un grappolo di temi scaturiti dall'osservazione della loro attività connessa alla sperimentazione delle nuove tecnologie che ho sottoposto alla riflessione degli studiosi i cui contributi compaiono in questo volume: la dimensione della liveness , del tempo reale, l'immagine sonora, l'interrogazione sulla riconfigurazione del tempo e del racconto; la percezione aptica, l'etica dell'immagine, il ruolo dello spettatore e la dimensione rituale."
