1790La statua, con sfondo inciso, raffigura un personaggio circense. La sua tunica, stretta intorno al torace da tanti nastri e fasce è tipica dei cocchieri o agitatori del circo. In una mano sostiene una palma e nell’altra le redini. Inserita nell'opera "Il Museo Pio-Clementino descritto da Ennio Quirino Visconti - Tomo terzo - Dedicato alla Santità di Nostro Signore PIO SESTO Pontefice Massimo. 1930Album cm 23 x 16,5, contenente 138 fotografie originali silver print, incollate, alcune fustellate artigianalmente. Varie dimensioni (da 8 x 13 a 3,5 x 2,5). Le foto, sfortunatamente non identificate, ne' per i luoghi, ne' per i personaggi raffigurano scene danzanti (danza sacra) e in costume di gusto orientale, domatori di leoni, scimmie, serpenti. Particolari momenti di svago con i soggetti travestiti in curiosi costumi. Una delle foto lascia intravedere la chiesa di S. Nicolao di Lecco mentre un'altra propone una bella immagine del tendone del Circo nazionale Togni. Danni a poche foto e segni d'uso alla cartonatura dell'album

"Page de titre dactylographiée et 19 feuillets portant 21 dessins originaux à la mine de plomb ou à la plume, rehaussés d’aquarelle. Chacun porte la signature ou le monogramme de l’artiste. Ces belles études d’après nature ont été dessinées au Cirque Médrano vers les années 1925 . La mention Cirque Médrano manuscrite est répétée sur cinq dessins. L’un d’eux porte la date 1926. Clowns, cavaliers, écuyères, chevaux, Monsieur Loyal, etc. Gustave Assire, né à Angers en 1870 fut ; à l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts, l’élève de J.P. Laurens, Cormon et Gustave Moreau. Il exposa aux Artistes Français depuis 1900 et au Salon des Indépendants de 1927 à 1931. Il a illustré un certain nombre d’ouvrages dont : Mac Orlan. Images secrètes de Paris en 1930. Il disparut en 1941. Mors fendus, reliure un peu épidermée."
