Brown cloth boards are heavily rubbed and soiled however what looks like a portion of the original cover has been tipped in to the front with the Title of the book the number of engravings and the price which indicates that this is the Fifteen Shilling Large Paper Edition. Spine has been somewhat crudley reinforced with leather and now look to be good for another several hundred years front and rear pastedowns are somewhat soiled and untidy rear has had a architectural drawing of the West Elevation of the Abbey sellotaped to it this is now loosely inserted in rear with sellotape marks to edges. There is an errata slip inside the rear end paper. Text is in surprisingly good order all plates are present. Hinges are tight previous owners name to top of free front end paper no other inscriptions found overall still a decent copy of a scarce work. Happy to supply photos on request.
