It is not possible to call particular attention to any of the very large number of printed books which were exhibited but the cases full of Service books Primers &c were deeply interesting and Lord Crawford's collection of Proclamations and a collection of all the most important Acts of Parliament bearing on the Reformation added much to the educational value of the Exhibition. The wonderful series of Prayer Books from Edward VI. to Edward VII. and the collection of various translations of the Bible into English are catalogued apart from other MSS. and printed books." réf. 1999New English Paperback. Oblong 4to. (22 x 24 cm). In English and Turkish. 72 p., 62 numerous photos. Emine Ceylan. Climates.= Iklimler. [Album of photographs]. Translated into English by Priscilla Mary Isin. "At every stage of my work, it is 'sensation' which has priority rather than 'information'. These photographs are a reflection of life as I perceive it and do not set out to mirror original realities. However, they do aim to reflect naturalness. By focusing not on the extraordinary but the ordinary which is always within our range of vision, on changeable simplicity, I hope to make contact with the essence in the depths of life." These are the words of Emine Ceylan on her works in this book. She continues: "I would like to hope that these obscure images which are the outcome of long and laborious work will, like the flame of a torch, light up small details in the lives of some people, reveal some small secrets, make a tiny contribution to reinforcing their relations with nature and provoke them to stop for a moment and think about the intrinsic essence of life. I have entitled this album Climates, the name of a book which I love by André Maurois, because I believe that people have 'climates' in the form of transient images just as nature does.". 750 copies were printed.
