Dore Gold has the goods on Saudi Arabia proving how it is actively supporting terrorism. Using previously unpublished documents Gold former Israeli Ambassador to the UN and internationally known Middle East strategy expert pieces together the links between the current wave of global terrorism -- from the World Trade Center to Bali Indonesia -- and the ideology of hatred taught in the schools and mosques of Saudi Arabia. Isidore "Dore" Gold 25 July 1953 - 3 March 2025 was an American-born Israeli political scientist and diplomat. After emigrating to Israel in 1980 Gold worked at the research institutes Moshe Dayan Center for Near East Studies and the Jaffee Centre for Strategic Studies before serving as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Foreign Policy Advisor from 1996 to 1997. He then was appointed Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations and served in the post until 1999. Gold was the president of think tank Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs from 2000 to 2022 including an appointment as Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs from May 2015 to October 2016. Gold studied literary Arabic and specialized in international law and his doctoral dissertation was about Saudi Arabia. This research formed the foundation for his 2003 New York Times bestseller Hatred's Kingdom. In the book Gold argued that Saudi Arabia was actively funding terrorism by supporting the enemies of the U.S. and attacking its allies. Former Israeli ambassador to the U.N. Gold examines the ties between Saudi Arabia and an extremist sect of Islam Wahhabism. HATRED'S KINGDOM argues with various bits of evidence translated from the Arabic that the Saudis have been religiously and economically underwriting much of the terrorism born in the Middle East. In this New York Times best-seller Middle East expert Dore Gold provides the startling evidence of how Saudi Arabia not only is linked to terror but in fact has spawned the current wave of global terrorism. Using previously unpublished documents Gold the former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations exposes how the deeply ingrained hatred that has provoked the new terrorism has its roots in Saudi Arabia's dominant religious creed a radical Islamic offshoot known as Wahhabism. Through meticulous research Dore Gold connects the dots tapping into his rich knowledge of the history of the Middle East and his years of hands-on diplomatic experience. He also shows what is being overlooked in the current war on terror. As Gold stunningly reveals unless the United States and its allies change their approach and cast a cold eye on supposed partner Saudi Arabia the war on terror will not be won. It will be only a matter of time before another Osama bin Laden emerges. Regnery Publishing, Inc hardcover
