Illustrated with a frontispiece and eleven photographic plates and further vignette illustrations. Collated complete. A. G. Shuttleworth under the pseudonym Silver Hackle writes about game hunting and wild animal life in India in the 1920s. Including much discussion of the tiger panther hunting leopard and various type of deer. With a publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail otherwise bright. Front hinge strained and somewhat tender. Internally binding lightly strained. A picture of BMNH 1296. Henry II, p. 393, describes this book as the best book on florist's flowers until Hogg's work. Cleveland Herbal and Botanical Collection 859 lists the 1822 edition. The first edition of 1792 had only 6 plates. The fine plates include flowers, vegetables and gardening equipment.
