19008vo., Twelfth Impression; original patterned paper boards lettered in green, green cloth back, an unusually bright clean copy. This interesting period collection is arguably the scarcest of the author's 'a la Mode' series. It was first published in 1887 and reprinted at least three times in that year. This fourth edition was followed by a fifth in the same year, and the work remained in print throughout the Edwardian period reaching at least sixteen editions by 1915. Interestingly this edition is not recorded by Driver who lists the third (306.3) and fifth (306.4) editions. Not in Cagle.
