réf. 025279Paris; 1963: Andre Sauret. Limited Edition. Small Folio. The present copy is number 2871 of 4125 copies. 183 pages chiefly color illustrations with 3 full page rich color lithographs and smaller examples throughout. Preface by Francois Ponge. Cataloged by Ferand Mourlot. After his Cubist engravings he began to work on rich lithographs balancing the paper's density and color. It has been said that Braque wants to describe paper as pure intensity so this edition became his magnus opus. Bound in stiff lithographic paper wraps original glassine wrapper with a few chips and a clear tape mend to upper corner of glassine housed in publishers slipcase with some edge wear. A superb copy.
