L'antico possessore, evidentemente cultore della materia, ha corredato l'opera di ulteriori 113 tra tavole, icisioni e fotografie (63 nel primo volume, 50 nel secondo) ritraenti luoghi, scene d'ambiente e personaggi fiorentini, accuratamente elencati in un indice manoscritto allegato a seguito dell'indice delle illustrazioni previste nell'impaginato originale. L'inserimento di una cosi' corposa addenda iconografica ha reso necessaria una rilegatura in due volumi della veste editoriale, edita in un singolo tomo.
