20021 lingua: francese Legat. edit. rigida con sovrac. illustrata, cm 32x24, pag. 453, con circa 370 illustraz. prevalentemente a colori - A cura di Chantal Meslin Perrier e Marie Segonds Perrier - Tracing the history of two centuries of porcelain manufacture in Limoges.

Röntgen - An enormous illustrated volume on Meissen porcelain, this the expanded Second Edition with over 1,200 illustrations, including nearly 300 color plates. Both the most typical and the most beautiful creations of Meissen are shown and described. Special attention is given to the 19th and 20th century products, neglected in most books about Meissen. In thirteen chapters the book describes all facets of the Meissen manufactory: The present state of the manufactory and its latest creations, Bottger's first ceramic invention, the red stoneware and its re discovery in the 20th century, sculptural Meissen art, the different shapes and forms of tableware, Meissen painting and decorations, and often neglected little things the manufactory made like medals and coins, lithopanes, tiles, knick knacks and technical porcelain - Ottimo stato.

Atterbury e Maureen Batkin - This volume is the first complete history of the famous Minton company, its wares, artists and decorators, and is destinated to become the standard work of reference for collectors and dealers. The authors chart the triumph, the solid achievements, the successes and failures of this outstanding company which employed some of the most famous names in nineteenth century ceramics history, including the two French giants, Arnoux and Solon, and rose to heights of international eminence unknown by any other ceramics manufacturer since Wedgwood. The fortunes of the illustrious firm of Minton, founded in the late eighteenth century, were inextricably linked with the characters and qualities of three men: Thomas Minton, the founder, his son Herbert, and Colin Minton Campbell. From modest beginnings as a pottery in Stoke on Trent, Minton became one of the world's leading ceramics companies. With the introduction of bone china c. 1800, the company prospered, and under the leadership of Herbert Minton, with his innovatory ideas and successful experiments in tile and Parian production, its future was assured. Herbert Minton exemplified all the best virtues of Victorian paternalism and philanthropy - Ottimo stato.
