I feel sorry this story has to be told in part so that such a thing does not happen to any other group of people in this country. Tashme was established at the Fourteen Mile Ranch and the first families arrived in September 1942. I have written mostly about the high school and its students but everyone in the community was effected by the events I have recorded." - from Preface.
