1938ref. 14536Chicago: n.p. 1938. A very scarce pamphlet reprinting an article by Rev. Dr. Oscar Stewart Michael former pastor of the American churches in Dresden and Munich that originally appeared in the Chicago Deutsch-Amerikanische Buerger-Zeitung. Michael extols Hitler's "super-herculean task" of attempting to unify German Christendom and maintains that "virulent hatefully malevolent propaganda" outside of Germany is the cause of unnecessary churn within the church. The article appears to have circulated as a mimeographed typescript by the Nazi propaganda agency Deutscher Fichte-Bund before being printed in the Deutsch-Amerikanische Buerger-Zeitung. Stapled wrappers 8 pp. Some toning near fine. Foreword in German the rest of the article in English. This edition not found separately catalogued in WorldCat although there are two copies of the Deutscher Fichte-Bund typescript at Harvard and the British Library. n.p. unknown

"In these days of high tension both international and personal the need for better understanding among people of all countries all races and all creeds is greater than ever before in the history of the world. An increased spirit of brotherhood predicated on a clearer concept of the religious beliefs of others could well result in a new appreciation of their tenets thereby creating an attitude of respect which is frequently lacking today both in business and in political contacts." - Foreword from Days And Customs Of All Faiths Fleet Publishing Corporation hardcover
