2020br. La preghiera del Padre nostro è stata di recente ripensata e riscritta da due teologi, Vito Mancuso e José Tolentino Mendonça, dal gruppo folk rock dei Gang, dal cantautore Vasco Brondi (meglio noto come Le luci della centrale elettrica), dal gruppo di rock alternativo Il Teatro degli Orrori e dallo scrittore Erri De Luca. L'analisi delle loro rielaborazioni mostra un comune denominatore: l'intenzione di responsabilizzare l'uomo - nella sua relazione con l'altro, con sé e con il mondo - facendo leva su un testo condiviso. In particolare, la declinazione laica del discorso da parte dei Gang e di De Luca riguarda il rapporto con i migranti, con gli sbarchi e le stragi del Mediterraneo, cioè con un conflitto culturale e politico a tutt'oggi irrisolto. In questi testi, il dialogo tra la letteratura e altri linguaggi esprime quindi una lettura profonda del nostro tempo, offre un orizzonte non banale a cui tendere e dimostra come esso sia cercato da artisti diversi attraverso le parole di una preghiera universale ripensata e riscritta anche in chiave civile. È l'espressione della ricerca di un «noi», di una comunità solidale capace di costruire parole diverse rispetto alla retorica dominante.
