1949rif. 26752AB1949. Skibbereen Southern Star 1949. 8°. 427 VII pages. With numerous illustrations. Hardcover / Original cloth with lettering on spine and cover. The binding as usual slightly shaky but in unusually excellent condition. No splitting of Spine which is often the case with this book. Interior excellent. Name of preowner on front and rear pastedown. Now an extremely rare book it is hard to find this publication at auction in bookshops or anyone who lets it go from any private collection. The loosely inserted original Letter by the Southern Star in the year 1959 confirms how rare the book already was after its publication. The presence of the letter and the original advertising pamphlet 2 pages make this ultimately the rarest copy of the book we ever handled.
