The autobiography of Bishop Alma White foundress and bishop of the Pillar of Fire Church an offshoot of Methodism. Under her leadership the church developed a strong affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan. Although White was a feminist and sought equality for white women she was anti-Catholic anti-Semitic and a proponent of white supremacy; she promoted the Klan in her writings and even participated in Klan activities such as cross burnings.
