A posthumous collection by the Jewish American poet best-known for her sonnet "The New Colossus" included in this collection which is inscribed on a bronze plaque on the Statue of Liberty with the famous lines: "Give me your tired your poor / Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free / The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. / Send these the homeless tempest-tost to me / I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
