Infine la vita e le gesta di Rodolfo II, il grande ed eccentrico collezionista di meraviglie al cui gusto sembrano ispirarsi le numerose xilografie di questo rarissimo figurato bolognese. Ciro Spontone fu un prolifico scrittore politico ma si occupò anche di scienze esoteriche, è una figura non secondaria del nostro seicento a cui Benedetto Croce ha dedicato numerose pagine. Questa edizione, che è la prima, appare essere di notevole rarità e non compare nei repertori bibliografici. Ottimo elemplare. Un esemplare in B.M. II, pag. 864.
