The photographs are in two rows of three with captions underneath. The top three show workers on plantations supplying goods primarily for the export market: 'Gathering Coffee Berries'; 'Cutting Rice'; and 'Cutting Sugar Cane'. The bottom three are aimed at the tourist market and depict the 'Ancient Hindu Temple Baroe-Boedoer at Djocja'; 'Ever Active Volcano Bromo Tengger Mts'; and 'Scene in the Moluccas'.
